Banned for life.

http://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/2014/04/29/donald-sterling-banned-for-life-from-nba/Pz3cekWsAL4z6nGnvA7p7N/story.html  NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has banned Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling from all league activity for life.  To go along with this ban, Sterling must also pay 2.5 million dollars in fines and is being forced to sell the team.  After various racist comments were made by Sterling, the league dropped the hammer atop his head.  Numerous NBA veterans and sports analysts voiced their opinions on the situation and almost all have sided and agreed with the decision the NBA made.  Unfortunately, the decision was far harsher than it should have been.  Although Donald Sterling's comments were extremely inappropriate and down right idiotic, a ban for life is the result of a situation being taken too far.
