American Flag Burning in South Carolina

Yesterday morning at about 2:00 am, 17 year old Nick Newell was caught on St. James High School's security tapes.  The student was dressed in dark clothes and was wearing a gas mask to hide his identity.  Charred remains of several American flags were found at 6:00 am that same morning but custodians.  The school was locked down and students were not admitted to classes.  An arson investigator and the Horry County bomb squad came to the school, for precautionary reasons only.  Newell was arrested at his home later that afternoon, charged with third-degree arson.  Motives for this unpatriotic act remain unknown.
